こんにちは！(konnichiwa!) Welcome to Hai Five Japanese School! Do you like traveling to Japan? Do you like watching Anime? Or are you passionate about Japanese culture? And you want to learn Japanese but you can’t find any Japanese Schools near you? I got you!
After moving to this area, I realised that there are no Japanese Language Schools around the area. Which means, if someone in the area wants to learn Japanese, what do they do…?!
That’s how I started thinking of establishing my own school. I’m always very passionate about teaching Japanese and am quite particular about how I prepare and what I do in my classes to meet my students’ expectation. So that, I decided to do my own school!
Learning a new language is fun but also it’s challenging. I strongly believe that continuous learning is the key when it comes to learning a language, even little by little at a slow pace.
My mission is to create a Japanese learning classroom that is approachable, affordable, and easy to stay motivated. (and easy access!)

I’ve been teaching Japanese for over 12 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Japanese Education from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, and later completed a Master’s in Applied Japanese Linguistics at Waseda University in Tokyo. I’ve taught both in classrooms and online, and also worked as a head teacher at a Japanese language school in Melbourne. Outside of work, I enjoy baking and exploring local cafés.
